The client came to us to design and build their first web site in 2006. It needed to display their work to a very high standard and explain the processes that they go through to complete the intricate work that they do. They needed a contact page for queires and the ability for potential clients to get a quote.

TLC Boat Repairs customers come from throughout the UK and europe for high quality teak decks and professional osmosis treatment.

The first version of the website went live in 2006 and used panoramic images sliding slowly at the top of the site to be able to show lots of detail of the work.

This first website was constantly added to, with new examples of their work added on a regular basis.

This website remained in place until 2009 when we rebuilt the website to co-incide with the business moving to new premesis.

The rebuilt website involved putting much more emphasis on the photography of the work carried out. TLC Boat Repairs have moved from just being general boat repairs business to specialising in high quality hand-built teak decks, and the solution we came up with for this project was a very effective and elequent way of displaying the work that they do.

Rather than just displaying small images, the background of the whole site contains a series of very large images that have a slow fade between each one. We stripped away all the surrounding and potentially distracting parts of the site, and layed an expanding menu on the left so you can acsses any of the pages from the  home page. The main content is displayed on the right in a semitransparent block that expands when you click on "more details". Each page also has its own images giving you a visual representation of what the contet of the page is about.
